Sassy Squatch Salvage Shop
For a while now, I have been on a mission to reduce the amount of waste I create, especially plastic waste. I was still finding myself with a recycling bin and trash can full of plastic. Whether it is produce wrapped in plastic or a glass delivered to your table with a straw already in it, plastic is so difficult to avoid. In an effort to ease my plastic guilt, I started making earrings out of the straws that I ended up with. Next I escalated to stealing the straws from the drinks of friends at the end of a meal. I sterilize them and cut them into interesting shapes. These cute earrings serve as a great conversation starter to talk about the issues of plastic waste. I hope you enjoy them!
